Come and join RAGofAZ at the Fiesta Bowl Parade!

Rescue A Golden of Arizona has been invited to participate in the Fiesta Bowl Parade on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 10AM.

Come and join us and help celebrate RAGofAZ's 23 years of rescuing Goldens.  Below are the details. The timeline from the Parade committee is short, so please respond this week. We would love to have you join us! There's no limit on the number of walkers with their Goldens, but riders in the trailer or truck are limited to whomever replies to Becky and Chris (see below) first. 

• Rescue A Golden of AZ’s request to participate in the 2021 Fiesta Parade has been approved.
• Our timeline to recruit, list and record volunteers to perform in support of RAGofAZ is Wednesday November 24. The day before Thanksgiving. There are three categories of volunteers:
  • Those members who, along with their Goldens, are well enough to walk the parade route (2 miles).
  • Those members who, along with their Goldens, ride either in the trailer or in the back of the pick-up truck.
  • Those who are willing to walk part of the route and then jump on the trailer to rest a little.
• We are hoping for a really big turn-out, particularly of walkers.

• Further logistics will be forthcoming.
• The plan is to have bales of straw covered in furniture movers’ blankets located down the center of the trailer and truck. Members will be sitting on the bales facing out with their Goldens in front of them.
• The walkers will be handing out small bags of dog biscuits that will also include a RAG business card.
