ZoeyNSadly, my Zoey passed away 6/27/23. Most likely due to a stroke. She was adopted from RAG in 2015. Zoey was 15 months old. She was turned into the Prescott Humane Society where she was there for 3 weeks!. Can you imagine, a Golden Retriever? It must have been meant to be for Zoey and me. About 6 months after I adopted her she was diagnosed with extraocular myositis (EOM). It’s an immune disorder and very uncommon. However, when it does occur Goldens are more likely to acquire it. Once it was diagnosed and treatment started she did very well. Unfortunately, because of this disorder and her medication made her at risk for neurological/vascular issues. Zoey was 9 years old.
She loved, loved swimming, She also enjoyed going on runs with her 2 brothers and sister. Her love was infinite for me. She wanted to be with me every second of the day. I will miss my sweet Zoey forever!
