Bella Steffes bitp 2Bella came from Tucson several years ago. She was diabetic with Valley Fever . They were having trouble placing her because they couldn't get her diabetes under control. She was returned from two homes to foster care with Robin Fox. I adopted her. I'm a retired nurse - I can give insulin. Dr Skinner from PAH and I got her blood sugar to normal. Her Valley Fever was easier to deal with. With medication we got that down to nothing. She then developed spinal issues caused by a neurological problem. She was treated with accupuncture and aqua therapy and wore a harness for the rest of her life - needed help with ambulation. When it came to the point that she no longer could stand and was incontinent, we sent her to the Bridge.
