WD1WD2Prescott and Prescott Valley Events

On June 3rd, many of our members headed north to escape the warmer temperatures.

The Woof Down Lunch, at the historic Courthouse Square in Prescott is always a fun event and draws a good crowd of people and four-legged friends.

We had lots of volunteers supporting and celebrating Rescue a Golden of Arizona at our booth.

The volunteers at the RAGofAZ booth were Ruth Steffes with Sedona and Bella, Robin Fox with Spirit, Scottie McGowan with Morgan, Becky Buck-Wetzel with Maddie, Kay Dettling with Rusty and Lucky, Andie Graubard with Quila, Cheryl Kellogg with Polan, Daryl and Lynn Lassen with Gamer and Jazz, Sam and Connie Morey with Ruger in spirit, Steve and Kathy Bourque and Randy Messersmith, no dogs.

Thanks to all of these great volunteers that came out in support of what we do. Our booth was in a great location and drew some large crowds. Lynn Lassen did a great job coordinating everything.

The following weekend, June 10th, was Woofstock/Adopt-a-Thon in Prescott Valley. Manning our booth was Ruth Ann Steffes with Sedona and Bella, Robin Fox with Spirit, Daryl and Lynn Lassen with Gamer and Jazz, supporting RAGofAZ.

There were great vendors, Police K9’s and a Lure Couse at this fun filled event. Lynn Lassen’s little Jazz couldn’t get enough of the Lure Course, running it 9 times and loving every minute. Of course, Gamer and Spirit gave it a try also, but needed their people to help them run it too.

Having back to back events in the Prescott area, Lynn saw no reason to unpack her vehicle after Woof Down. Smart lady or perhaps a tired lady. Another great job, Lynn.
